About

This site is a collection of rebuttals to Islamophobic articles and comments in the British print press – and maybe TV too.

Islamophobic newspaper stories and opinion pieces often appear in the British press. These stories are usually exaggerations and half-truths which, almost purposely, portray Muslim in a negative light.

Whilst attempts are made by various commentators and Muslims to rebut such instances of Islamophobia, there is no single place on the internet which gathers these rebuttals. This is my attempt to create that single source of anti-Islamophobia.

I’ve been toying with the idea of a site like this for some time. But the recent wave of support and backing (both online and off) for Michael Nazir-Ali’s unfounded assertion that there are “no go areas” for non-Muslims in the UK is what finally forced me to get working on a site.

But sites such as this tend to come and go. It’s just a matter of seeing how long this one will go on for. Hopefully, I’ll learn from this attempt and then launch a better, more efficient, site in the near future.

Good luck with your blog. Sad to say, like Islamophobia Watch, I doubt that you’ll ever lack for content.
